The best way to get started is to submit your project request using our online request form. If we need to complete a site visit to get eyes on–our behind-the-screens Hand Humans will reach out to schedule a time that works for you.

REVIEW THE NUMBERS

With all the information gathered, our technicians and behind-the-screens Handy Humans will curate a custom proposal that will outline pricing, schedules, and selection for your project. You’ll also finalize your 50% deposit for your project at this time.

BOOK THE BIG DAY

With your proposal approved, our behind-the-screens handy humans will reach out to schedule your project on a date and time that works for you.

PREP + MATERIALS

With your project on the calendar in sharpie, we’ll start work getting all the materials required for your project. If special order items are needed, we’ll keep you updated with their arrival in case we need to reschedule.

IT’S HAMMER TIME

Well–if the hammer’s required of course! Your scheduled project day has arrived and our handy humans will come to accomplish your project as outlined in your proposal.

THAT’S A WRAP

With the work complete, our on-site Handy Human will do a walk through of your project with you. Your final project payment will also be do at this time.

No two homes are the same, and neither are two faucet replacements, fan installs, or any other project for that matter.  So how do we know how long a job will take? We take the average time it takes our HandyHumans to do all the behind-the-project prep and the onsite fix and schedule you for the appropriate time required. 

Now, in reality we all know that home repair projects often don’t go as planned, so what happens when we run into an issue? It’s simple, our technicians let you know immediately if they run into an unexpected issue that will require more time than we originally anticipated. They review with you the options and let you know how much longer it will take prior to moving forward. Our behind the scenes team will confirm with you in writing if there is an additional cost for your approval. Once the red tape is taken care of, we get to work!

CREATING THE PLAN

Our Handy Human technicians and behind-the-screens crew curate a custom plan that will achieve your project goals, and allow our crews ample time to get the desired results.

GETTING THINGS PREPPED

This second phase is where we make sure we have all the materials prepped and ready to go, the scope of work and schedule set! Our office will collect the deposit and get the work scheduled on our calendar!

TIME TO WORK

This final phase in our projects is the actual “doing” part.  Our Handy Humans are on site bringing your project to life.

That’s right–our proposals aren’t just a word document we threw together. Our state of the art project management software allows us to send you a proposal that perfectly details each part of your project. From labor and materials, to unexpected changes ( you never know what’s hidden behind that wall!) we can map out the options you have in front of you!

What happens when things are not what they appear?!

SAY HELLO TO THE OH-SHIT–CAN’T-QUIT PLAN

You know those times when you sit down to finish an “easy” project and realize it was a much grander situation than you thought. What was supposed to be 2 hours turns to 4 and next thing you know it’s midnight and you didn’t eat all day?  That’s what some home projects are like. We can’t see everything we’re working with–and sometimes our hopes and expectations don’t actually become reality. That’s where our Oh-Shit-Can’t-Quit Plan comes into play.

Any project big or small can turn into an unexpected situation, so if we open a wall, or peel back some flooring and things aren’t what we expected, we’ll hit pause and create a plan. Our behind-the-screan Handy Humans will talk with our technician on site and figure out your project’s options. They will then send you a change order detailing what your options are so you can know exactly what your options are and what pricing and schedule changes (if any) are required.

 You will always be in the loop, and have a say prior to incurring additional charges.
